The above poll was published in conjunction with an editorial by the Gay and Lesbian Times, highlighting the historic significance of the campaign. This will be the first time in California history in which a gay Republican will face a lesbian Democrat for a state office in the General Election on November 2.
Dear Voter,
We need solutions now for our budget, our schools, our streets and our public health.
As a businessman, I know firsthand the struggles businesses encounter in a state more interested in strangling our economy with oppressive regulations. The bureaucracy grows at the expense of creating and protecting job opportunities. As a proud Californian, I know the frustration of seeing our elected officials squander our valuable resources while ignoring the wellbeing of the people. The California budget is in complete disarray!
I have the leadership to balance the budget.
In Memory of a Very, Special Woman...
My Mother passed away quietly last July. When I returned from her graveside services, I wrote and published the below sentiment as a way to deal with my pain. I make no apologizes now when I share this with you, and dedicate this campaign to my Mother and my Father.
